AUXILIARY AND INTEGRAL FRONT SUSPENSIONS

The company AMR Suspensiones has developed a system of auxiliary and front integral suspensions for the FIAT 244 and 250 chassis, taking advantage of the original front shock absorbers of the vehicle, thus facilitating repairs (possible change of shock absorber).

These systems have been developed in response to the problems that arise over time in motorhomes, as the front springs lose their elongation. For control, it has developed a microprocessor system that controls both front and rear suspensions, being able to modify the program when there are new updates.

In AMR workshops, if the motorhome has the rear suspensions fitted, these can be integrated into the new system and controlled by the microprocessor system.

PNEUMATIC SUSPENSIONS IN MOTORHOMES. PART 1.

This article consists of two well differentiated parts.

First, we will review some basic concepts about suspensions, adhesion, overturning, sliding and we will solve some examples to see how two types of motorhomes behave (profiled and nasturtium), with respect to overturning and sliding with and without pneumatic springs; thus reinforcing the conviction and the need to install the air springs in our motorhomes.

Secondly, the procedure for placing the air springs and all their accessories will be explained, documenting it with photographs of the different steps for assembly.

This article is an extension to the one previously presented.

One of the sections of this article deals with the method developed to know between what pressures we have to adjust the air springs for proper operation.
